With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Arthur Collin Lewis, who entered into eternal rest on July 28, 2026, at the age of 36. Born on February 19, 1990, Arthur will be remembered for the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the lasting memories he leaves with those who knew him.

Arthur is lovingly survived by his aunts, Bettie Beck and Nan Vandervort, Nan’s husband, Allen Vandervort, and their two daughters, Nicole Chatman and her husband, Jordan Chatman, along with their daughter, Vallie Chatman; and Sarah Vandervort. He is also survived by his mother, Carol Lewis; his brother, Alan Lewis; his grandmother, Christine Goetz; and half-sister Brandi Long.

Arthur’s life was filled with memories that reflected who he was; loyal, loving, devoted, and someone who always gave 100%. As a child and teenager, summers meant riding bikes, video games, watching MTV, and playing sports in the front yard until the streetlights came on. At the Boys and Girls Club, basketball was his passion, and Arthur was a force in the post. If he boxed you out, that rebound was his. He knew his role, embraced it, and gave it everything he had. That same spirit followed him throughout life as a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, and coworker. He cherished going to Major League Baseball games with his Uncle Dick and shared a special bond with his grandmother Evelyn, who helped care for him. As he grew older, he returned that love by helping care for her. Their relationship was a beautiful example of the love and devotion Arthur had for the people who mattered most to him.

Arthur also had a gift for forming friendships that became like family. In his later years, his faith in Jesus Christ became an important part of his life. He became deeply involved in his church and young adult Sunday School community. He spent many hours with friends discussing Scripture, sermons, and their growing faith. They even joked about starting a podcast called Iron Sharpens Iron. Arthur had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and his faith was evident in the way he lived; with love, loyalty, compassion, patience, forgiveness, and devotion. Those who knew him can find comfort in knowing that his faith was real, his love was genuine, and that he is now with Jesus.

Arthur was immensely loved because he loved hard. He always gave 100% because that was simply who he was. And he will be deeply and profoundly missed.
