Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Clair Lynn McFadden, 84, went to be with his Lord on August 15, 2026. He was born September 16, 1941 in Great Bend, Kansas to Harold and Violet McFadden.

He attended Hodgeman County Grade School, a one room grade school. He attended Bazine High School and graduated in 1960. In high school, he was a member of FFA, Glee Club, Mixed Choir, Boys Quartet, and played all four years of football, baseball, basketball, and track. He attended Kansas State University majoring in Electrical Engineering and later in Secondary Education. He was very involved and a charter member of Delta Chi Fraternity serving as Vice President and several other offices. He was also a member of Roger Williams Fellowship, Apollo Glee Club. He taught middle school math for 32 years at Baxter Spring Kansas. He also worked at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts another 14 years after retiring from teaching. In the summer when school was out, he always helped his father with the wheat harvest. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Cabot, Arkansas.

Lynn married Linda Dewey in 1985. She survives along with Lynn’s daughter Carmen Pearson and husband Greg, grandchildren Amelia and Tanner of the home; daughter Cassie Carillo and husband Marcial, grandchildren Eiley Carrilo and husband Nolan Adams, and Hayden Carrillo of the home. Lynn is also survived by two stepchildren Travis Dewey of Ketchum, OK and Tim Dewey and wife Holly; step-grandson Grant Dewey and wife Dr. Erica Dewey, great-grandchildren Bennett and Beckman; step-granddaughter Haven Tidwell and husband Colin, great-grandchild Jack Tidwell; sister Gayle Pauly and family.
