Gaea York departed this earth for her heavenly home on August 5, 2026, surrounded by family and friends.

Gaea was born on May 5, 1976. She was known by all who loved her as a strong, independent woman. The greatest joy in her life was her dog, Lucy. Lucy brought her endless comfort and companionship, a bond that all could see.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Mona Gay Light Being; her brother, Nigel York; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mike York; her grandparents, J.D. and Ann Huddleston; and Ken and Joyce York.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
