Roy “Kelly” Stanley, 82, of Pangburn, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026.

Kelly was born in Brown Grove, Arkansas, to Roy Franklin Stanley and Alma Ila Stanley. He spent much of his adult life in Stuttgart before later making his home in Pangburn. For many years, he worked as a truck broker until his retirement, earning the respect of colleagues and friends through his strong work ethic and dependable nature.

Kelly had a remarkable ability to teach himself anything he set his mind to. A gifted musician, he learned to play several instruments by ear, but his greatest passion was the steel guitar, which brought him years of enjoyment. He was also a talented woodworker whose skill and craftsmanship created many beautiful pieces that will remain treasured keepsakes for his family.

Kelly was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Sharon Kay Stanley Little; and his siblings, John “Buddy” Holmes and Ila Carter.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Patricia Mae Stanley; his son, Roy “Butch” Stanley; his daughters, Shirley Baker and Tabatha (Brandon) Rodgers; his stepsons, Wesley (Sandra) Sherman, Tim Sherman, and Stephen (Carol) Sherman; his sister, Fronia Jones; and his twelve grandchildren: Barbara Stogsdill, Tiffany Rolland, Josh Rains, Brock Stanley, Roy Allen Stanley, Beth Stanley, LaTisha Davis, Sarah Little, Cameron Rodgers, Cason Rodgers, Grant Sherman, and Zachary Sherman. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held August 9, 2:00 pm at Pangburn United Methodist Church located at 902 Church, Pangburn, AR 72121.
