Ernest Crabtrey Sr., 86, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026 with his wife Marilyn Crabtrey by his side.

Ernest Was full of character and never short of funny, and witty jokes. He never had a moment where he didn’t tell you exactly what was on his mind, and exactly what he thought.

Ernest retired from the Morrilton Street Department after 10 years of service. After retiring, he enjoyed his time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Crabtrey of over 50 years of marriage. His daughter Christy Denniston and husband Bill Denniston, His son Ernest Crabtrey Jr. (Bud) and extra son Jim Ulrey. His Grandchildren Jess Hunt IV, Brittiany George, Tiffany Hunt, Shaylynn Denniston, Payton Denniston, and Elizbeth McClurg. Great Grandchildren Jake and Landon Hunt, Eli George and Finnick McClurg. Sister Linda Gilbert, brothers Alfred Crabtrey, Benny Crabtrey and David Collins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clyde Crabtrey and Mildred Crabtrey. Brothers Elbert, Donald, and James David Crabtrey and Sister Lorene Watson Ann Gilbert and Jean Love.

No Memorial will be held. Interment will be at a later date at Plumerville Cemetery.
