Georgia Margaret Mahoney

December 9, 1941 – September 17, 2026

Margaret Mahoney, 84, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful legacy of love, kindness, faith, and family.

Margaret was one of the sweetest and most kind-hearted women you could ever have the privilege of knowing. She had a way of making everyone she met feel instantly loved, welcomed, and accepted. Her smile could light up any room, and her warmth had a way of making you feel like family from the moment you met her.

Family was at the very heart of Margaret’s life. She loved her children, her grandchildren, and every person who came into her life. She was especially proud of her children, grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them. She found joy in celebrating the people she loved, whether it was a birthday, a holiday, or simply a little reminder that she was thinking of you.

Margaret had a generous heart. Even when she didn’t have much to give, she always found a way to make something special happen for the people she loved. Her love was never measured by what she had, but by what she was willing to give. She gave her time, her kindness, her encouragement, and most of all, her love.

A woman of faith, Margaret found comfort and strength in her relationship with God. She was a devoted church woman who carried her faith with her throughout her life. Her favorite verse serves as a beautiful reflection of the faith she lived by:

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7

Margaret also had a special love for giraffes and hummingbirds. These little things brought her joy and will forever be reminders of the beautiful and unique woman she was.

She is survived by her sister, Norma, and her children, Andy, Kevin, Brian, and Wendy, along with her beloved grandchildren and the many family members and loved ones whose lives were touched by her kindness.

Margaret leaves behind more than memories. She leaves behind the love she gave so freely, the lessons she taught through the way she lived, and the countless moments in which she made someone feel loved simply by being there.

Though she will be deeply missed, her love will continue to live on in her children, grandchildren, and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

Until we meet again, Margaret. Your love, your smile, and your beautiful spirit will never be forgotten.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas.
