Mark S. Strong was a father, uncle, brother, and friend, at the time of his passing from a brief illness on September 29th, 2026. In his younger years he worked with horses. In the later part of his life, he was a cabinet maker. He was always making something for someone. After retirement he made Disc Golf his passion, traveling, winning competitions, and with his easy-going nature making a large group of amazing friends.
He showed up to every milestone he could for his kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, and adopted family. He really didn’t understand how much people appreciated the effort he went to.
He was preceded in death by his parents Stewart and Winnie Strong.
He is survived by his four siblings, Chuck Strong, Jeanie Strong, Donna Dohman, and Diana Strong, along with their spouses and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his children, David Mason, Mara Ellis, Jenna Herring, Nick Bond, Alexandra Hall, and Anna Hobbs, their spouses, and his grandchildren.
His smile, laugh, and orneriness will be missed, but he is tossing discs and flying high.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent the American Lung Association. Donations for funeral and medical expenses are appreciated.

I am so sorry to hear of Mark’s passing. He and I were classmates at Monett High School in Monett, MO. We were also neighbors for a time in the ’70’s, and I knew his parents my whole life, as well as his brother and sisters. Please accept my sympathy for your loss.
