Rocky Wayne Hickman, 70, of Mayflower, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on September 26, 2026. He passed away peacefully at his home following a long and courageous battle with heart disease and diabetes.

Rocky was born July 30, 1956, in Brinkley to Jesse Norman Hickman and Patsy Ann Warr Hickman. He grew up in Brinkley and graduated from Brinkley High School. He never earned a college degree, but anyone who knew him will tell you he held a doctorate from the University of Hard Knocks.

Rocky spent 45 years in the natural gas industry. He retired from the State of Arkansas in July 2024 as Director of Natural Gas and Pipeline.

His greatest calling was his faith. For the past seven years, he served as pastor of Morgan Full Gospel Church, where he led his congregation with humility and joy. He loved making music with his church family and his band, never passed up a good pawn shop, and was a die-hard Razorback fan who loved college football.

Rocky was known for his joyful spirit. A natural jokester and prankster, he could make anyone laugh and put a smile on every face in the room. He was dependable and kind, and he had a gift for making people feel special and loved. Above all, he was humble. His greatest passions were God and his family, both his blood family and his church family. Just two days before he passed, he enjoyed a camping trip with his dear friend Coach Galloway.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Patsy Hickman; his son, Rocky Hickman Jr.; and his brother, Robert Hickman.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Rebecca “Becky” Hickman; his daughter, Faith Hayes (Jason) of Stuttgart; his son, Zachary Hickman of Mayflower; his grandchildren, Graycen Duke of Stuttgart and Drew Hayes of Brinkley; his bonus grandchildren, Lucas, Emily, and Jonah Wickliffe; his brothers, Rick Hickman (April) of Hazen and Jesse Hickman (Doris) of Brinkley; his dear friend Jan Fuller, who was like a sister to him for many years; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and his beloved church family.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Morgan Full Gospel Church.
