Thomas Richard Reed, age 80, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026.

He was born on October 24, 1945, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Mary Frank and Thomas Irvin Reed. Thomas proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1963 to 1969. Following his military service, he dedicated many years of hard work to his trade, retiring from the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators, Local No. 90.

Outside of work and service, Thomas enjoyed spending time outdoors and staying active. He was an accomplished archer who won a Tennessee state title, as well as an avid golfer who played on numerous courses across the country.

Above all, Thomas was a devoted family man who cherished every moment with those he loved. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Leslie Sims Reed; his sister, Paula Pinner; his daughters, Tammie Kennedy (Mike), Terrie Piersing, and Leann Hunt; and his son, Richard Reed. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren who affectionately called him “Daddy Tot,” 6 great-grandchildren who lovingly knew him as “Grand Daddy Tot,” as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his brothers, Rohn Reed and Don Reed, and his sisters, Monette Greer and Nancy Miller.

In accordance with Tom’s wishes, cremation services are being provided by A Natural State Funeral Service and Crematory.

A family-hosted celebration of life service will be held at 1:00pm, October 24 at the Amity City Hall in Amity Arkansas. All family and friends are warmly invited to attend.
